Foundation Run Textile (“we,” “us,” “our”) sources and supplies fabrics, trims, and related materials from manufacturers in China. Many orders — including small-quantity fabric cuts ordered for evaluation purposes — are prepared specifically to fulfill an individual customer’s request. Accordingly, our return and refund terms differ from those of a standard retail store. By placing an order, you agree to the terms set out below.
1. Fabric Cuts and Sample-Quantity Orders
Where a customer orders fabric in a small, sample-style quantity (for example, 1–3 meters), the purpose of the order is to allow the customer to inspect and evaluate the physical material — including its hand, weight, color, and performance — prior to placing a larger order. The fabric is cut specifically for the order and delivered in full. Once such an order has shipped, it is final. We do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges on the grounds that the fabric did not match the customer’s expectations, differed from images shown on the website, or was ultimately found unsuitable for the customer’s intended use. The purpose of ordering a sample cut is precisely to allow the customer to determine this before committing to a larger purchase; the outcome of that evaluation does not constitute grounds for a refund.
Please note that fabric is a manufactured material subject to normal variation between production batches (lots). Even where the same article is ordered on separate occasions, differences in hand, softness or stiffness, and color tone may occur between batches, and thickness or weight may vary within an industry-standard tolerance of approximately 5%. Such variation is inherent to textile manufacturing, does not indicate a defect, and does not qualify for a refund, return, or exchange.
2. Errors, Defects, and Damage
We stand behind the accuracy of what we ship. If, due to our error, a customer receives an incorrect article (a different fabric or item than what was ordered), or if an item is confirmed defective or arrives damaged in transit, we will provide a replacement of the correct item. This undertaking does not extend to claims based on the batch-to-batch variation described in Section 1, nor to claims based solely on personal expectations or subjective comparison to website imagery.
3. How to Report an Issue
To report an error, defect, or shipping damage, contact us at within 7 days of delivery, including your order details and photographs of the issue. We will review each case individually and respond with next steps.
4. Wholesale and Bulk Orders
Terms for wholesale or production-volume orders may differ from the terms set out above and, where applicable, will be confirmed individually with the customer as part of the order confirmation. This website currently operates as a product catalogue; formal payment processing will be introduced at a later stage, at which point applicable sale terms will be published here.
5. Dispute Resolution
Any disagreement arising from an order should first be raised directly with us so that it may be resolved through good-faith discussion. Written correspondence between the parties (including email and messaging platforms) shall serve as evidence of any agreement reached. Where a resolution is reached — including by way of replacement, correction, or other agreed remedy — the matter shall be considered closed.
6. Governing Law
This policy is governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China. Any dispute that cannot be resolved as described in Section 5 above shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the People’s Court of Shijingshan District, Beijing.
